Biography

Clare Daniel is administrative faculty at Newcomb Institute and teaches regularly in the Department of Communication. She received her doctorate in American Studies from the University of New Mexico. Her research and teaching focus on the relationships between social inequality, the media, and reproductive politics. Her book Mediating Morality: The Politics of Teen Pregnancy in the Post-Welfare Era was published in 2017 by the University of Massachusetts Press. Her writings have also appeared in Present Tense: A Journal of Rhetoric and Society, Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society, and others.
