Anne Nelson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Bethel University in 2009. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Tulane University in 2013. Exhibiting regionally, nationally and internationally, Nelson is represented by Cole Pratt Gallery and is a founding member of Staple Goods Gallery and Collective. In 2018 she received a Lavin Bernick Faculty Research Grant, and in spring 2017 she was a Joan Mitchell Center Artist in Residence. Past residencies include the Ragdale Foundation Artist Residency, St Roch Community Church Artist Residency, and the Anderson Center at Tower, supported by the Jerome Foundation.
