Drew Holland Kinney is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science. Drew’s book project explains why civilians advocate for military coups d’état in the Middle East. His research has appeared in Armed Forces & Society and has been requested for resubmission at International Studies Quarterly. He has also written essays for the Washington Post and Jadaliyya. Drew received a B.A. in Political Science from St. John Fisher College in 2012, and in 2018 earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University.
