Tulane University Marching Band performs in Krewe of Orpheus

Traditional Uptown Parade route - approximately 5 miles long and takes about 3.5 hours to complete. The parade’s starting point or “line up” is at the corner of Tchoupitoulas St & Napoleon Ave., then up Napoleon to St. Charles Avenue, then downtown to Canal St., up to Tchoupitoulas St. to Convention Center Blvd. where it enters the Convention Center.

Featuring TU Marching Band

The Tulane University Marching Band which debuted at Carnival 2006 with 26 members now fields almost 100 members, - musicians, dance team & colorguard - for Carnival season 2020.  The last parade performance this season by the TUMB is in Orpheus, first parading in 1994, which was co-founded, among others, by Tulane alumni Harry Connick Sr. & Jr. Orpheus was the first super Krewe with both male and female riders.
