Biography
Pia Köstner received a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of New Orleans and completed her graduate work in Interdisciplinary Linguistics at Tulane University. Her interests include second language acquisition, dialectology, and language revitalization. Passionate about Louisiana history, she has focused in her recent research on the history of Germans in New Orleans as well as on Louisiana Creole history and culture. At Tulane, she has been teaching German language courses from the elementary to the advanced levels.
