Biography

Daylín Pujol López entered the PhD program in 2017 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in history from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She is interested in the intersections of race and gender in Latin America and the Caribbean during the nineteenth century. Outside of academia, Daylín enjoys playing tennis and traveling.

Interests

Colonial Cuba, nineteenth century, slavery, free(d) and enslaved women, race and gender.
