Derek Wood


Derek Wood entered the PhD program in 2017. His primary interest focuses on the reorganization of Louisiana plantation life after Reconstruction. His article on Les Cenelles Society of Arts & Letters, a mid-twentiety-century African American arts club, appeared in Southern Cultures. In addition to his academic work, Derek enjoys exploring Louisiana and fishing, and he is a Mardi Gras enthusiast.
