Biography

Derek Wood's primary interest focuses on the reorganization of Louisiana plantation life after Reconstruction. His article on Les Cenelles Society of Arts & Letters, a mid-twentiety-century African American arts club, appeared in Southern Cultures. In addition to his academic work, Derek enjoys exploring Louisiana and fishing, and he is a Mardi Gras enthusiast.
