Biography
Melanie is a PhD student at Tulane Linguistics. She was an undergrad at Beijing Jiaotong University (loved the food) and then abroad at Lake Forest College. She was a PhD student at Tulane Math and then quit math.
Melanie published in The College Mathematics Journal and The Electronic Journal of Combinatorics during undergrad. She also played softball and went to (China) nationals.
Melanie doesn't know how many languages she speaks. But she has tested in Japanese (N1) and Korean (TOPIK 5), and taken more than half a dozen others. So, probably a lot.
