She joined Tulane University in 2025, where she is teaching Introduction to Korean (Elementary Korean) and plans to expand the program to include Intermediate Korean. A native of Seoul, she earned her B.A. in Philosophy and M.Ed. in Education from Ewha Womans University.

For more than a decade, she has been deeply involved in Korean language education at community schools and national associations. At the Korean Language School of New Orleans, where she has taught since 2014, she also served as curriculum coordinator and mentor program leader. She has presented on panels at annual conferences organized by the National Association for Korean Schools (NAKS). During the COVID-19 pandemic, she developed online Korean language learning programs and digital archives, which were shared with Korean language educators worldwide. She also served on the NAKS staff and contributed to the development of the Korean Spelling Bee.

Her teaching philosophy emphasizes interactive, culturally rich, and student-centered learning. At Tulane, she integrates Korean holidays, games, K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean food into her classes to make language learning both engaging and meaningful. She is also passionate about exploring metaverse-based learning tools, developing ways for students to extend language practice beyond the classroom into their daily lives.
