Make a Gift

We Need Your Help

Guiding tomorrow's doctors, lawyers, politicians and business leaders is a responsibility all of us in the Tulane History Department take very seriously. To fulfill that sacred trust, we need your help. All gifts to the Tulane History Department are considered charitable donations.

Would you like to make a major gift? Major gifts can include bequests made through a will; deferred gifts that provide you or others with a life income and then benefit the History Department, and outright gifts, such as cash or marketable securities.

Your gift can also add to or create an endowed fund that keeps the principal intact and uses only the income. The Tulane History Department has several endowed funds to which you can contribute, or, we can establish a new endowed fund for a minimum of $10,000 in your name or the name of someone you wish to memorialize.

We can set up funds to:

  • give undergraduate and graduate student awards
  • fund undergraduate, graduate or faculty research
  • purchase equipment such as videos, maps, computer software, scanners, projectors and computing equipment for the department

If you would like to know more about major gifts, planned gifts, or the tax implications of helping the Tulane History Department, Lizbeth Turner, Tulane's Director of Planned Gifts, would like to talk to you. You may contact Ms. Turner at:
