Electives Only
Courses completed abroad will satisfy only the elective requirements of the Strategy, Leadership, and Analytics Minor.
Course Transfer Limits
You may take only six of the 12 elective credits outside the Strategy, Leadership, and Analytics Minor. This limit includes transfer credit from other U.S. institutions and study abroad courses.
Steps for Receiving Study Abroad Credit in SLAM
- Review the list of preapproved courses for SLAM at Tulane’s Center for Global Education’s course equivalencies page .
- Consult the schedule of classes at the institution where the study abroad program will take place to verify which courses will be offered during the study abroad period.
- If the selected course or courses are included in the list of preapproved courses, you will automatically receive the respective SLAM course equivalency after completion. In this case, you don’t need to contact SLAM. If you have questions about equivalency for courses on the preapproved list, please contact the Center for Global Education.
- If the selected course or courses are not included in the list of preapproved courses, students must submit full and current syllabi and the Course Equivalency Request form to slam@tulane.edu.
Please submit only full syllabi, including all course assignments, a full list of readings, and a full schedule. Course descriptions will not be accepted. Please contact the host institution or the respective course instructor to request a full course syllabus.
Submit the form and syllabi in Word or PDF format. Pictures will not be accepted. We will not review requests containing only course descriptions.
