Biography
Hasia Diner is the Paul and Sylvia Steinberg Professor of American Jewish History at New York University. She also directs the Goldstein-Goren Center for American Jewish History also at NYU. She is the author of a number of publications which touch on the subject of Jewish economic history including, Roads Taken: The Great Jewish Migration to New Worlds and the Peddlers Who Led the Way (Yale University Press) and also Julius Rosenwald: Repairing the World (Yale University Press). She is currently working on a book tentatively entitled, "Teachable Moments, Or, How the Irish Helped the Jews Become American."
