Biography
Marni Davis is Associate Professor of History at Georgia State University. She is the author of Jews and Booze: Becoming American in the Age of Prohibition (2012), which was a finalist for the Sami Rohr Prize in Jewish Literature. Her recent article in American Jewish History, "Toward an Immigrant Turn in Jewish Entrepreneurial History: A View from the New South," won the 2019 Wasserman Prize for best article published that year. Davis is currently researching and writing about white-ethnic and African-American neighborhoods in twentieth-century Atlanta.
