Biography
Shari Rabin (Oberlin College) is a scholar of American religions and modern Judaism. She is currently writing a history of Jews, race, and religion in the American South from the seventeenth century to the present day. Her is the author of award-winning Jews on the Frontier: Religion and Mobility in Nineteenth-century America and a number of articles, including "Working Jews: Hazanim and the Labor of Religion in Nineteenth-century America," in Religion and American Culture: A Journal of Interpretation.
