Welcome from Ronna Burger, Director of the Religious Studies Minor
We were delighted to re-institute a Religious Studies Minor at Tulane in the Spring of 2017. The idea was inspired by the enthusiastic interest of students looking for a way to expand their understanding of religion and its role in our world. Carole Haber, as SLA Dean, provided valuable advice for organizing the Minor. Faculty whose research includes the study of religion have welcomed the opportunity to teach courses in the program. Together we represent a wide variety of perspectives-- historical and anthropological, philosophical and political, literary and artistic. We are indebted to Jane Wolfe, whose encouragement and support helped turn the idea for Religious Studies at Tulane into a reality.

The Judeo-Christian Studies Lecture Series
This long-standing series, supported by the Catherine & Henry J. Gaisman Fund, has brought eminent scholars to campus for public lectures in the Rogers Chapel, where students, faculty, and community members are welcome. The lecture series provides a rich resource for the Religious Studies Minor, including on some occasions a special session for interested students to meet with the visiting speaker. Announcements of events can be found on the Judeo-Christian Studies website.
