Biography
Katy Bergstrom is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Tulane University.
Prior to joining Tulane, she worked as an economist in the World Bank’s Development Research Group. Her research interests lie at the intersection of development and public economics. Specifically, she is interested in optimal taxation and redistribution in developing countries, the determinants of income inequality, and investment differentials across children. Katy holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.
