As Director of the Language Learning Center, Adrienne works on centering language in the Tulane's global liberal arts education through interdisciplinary integration of linguistic and (inter)cultural competencies, increasing access to Less Commonly Taught Languages, language and academic assessment, and faculty support and professional development. Adrienne has taught university/college courses in Spanish language, linguistics, intercultural education, and language teaching methodology. She is published in the International Association for Language Learning Technology Language Center Handbook and has written and presented on a wide range of topics in the field of second language acquisition, including interlanguage pragmatics, heritage language acquisition and support, and language learner motivation.
Adrienne received her Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics with a focus on Second Language Acquisition and Computer-Assisted Language Learning from the University of New Mexico, M.A. in Spanish Language and Translation from New York University, and B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico.
