Biography
Before joining Tulane as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Political Science, Dr. Miruna Barnoschi was a Fellow in International Security at Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). She finished her PhD in Political Science at Northwestern University where her primary field was international relations with a research focus in international and national security. She also finished an ad hoc MS in Statistics at Northwestern. An interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scholar, she holds a MA in Philosophy from the University of Virginia and received a BA in International Relations and a BA in Classics and Philosophy from the University of Southern California. After reaching PhD candidacy, she taught national security and international relations courses at Northwestern and DePaul University. Beyond academia, she has experience as an Intelligence Analyst in the private security sector.
