Biography

Emily Davis-Hale is a PhD candidate in linguistic anthropology, specializing in Classic Maya linguistics and epigraphy. They hold an M.A. in anthropology and B.A. with honors in linguistics from Tulane. Their dissertation work focuses on the socio-historical dimensions of morphological change at Tikal, Guatemala, AD 600-900. Emily also works as Archive & Library Manager for the Middle American Research Institute.
