Alexander Jurado

Graduate Student


Alex is a PhD student in archaeology. He received his BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Colgate University (2015) and MA in Anthropology from Tulane University (2019).  He is a member of the Proyecto Arqueológico Tlalancaleca, Puebla (PATP), and previously participated on projects in the Teotihuacan Valley and Tula region in Central Mexico. His research interests include Formative Mesoamerica, urbanism, complex societies, and household archaeology. His doctoral research investigates social organization and domestic and public rituals during incipient urbanization at Tlalancaleca.
