Biography

Md Ashraful Bari (Ovi) is a PhD candidate at Tulane University in the department of Political Science. He is from Bangladesh and went to Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) for his BSS and MSS in Public Administration. His broad research interests are in the field of gender and politics, with a focus on the political participation of women, gender equality, and electoral politics. He has worked on a multi-cultural research project, GlobalGRACE, investigating the variety of ways that equality is made and contested in different parts of the world and how people’s creative practices challenge inequality and engender new possibilities for more equitable ways of living together.
