Biography

Analene McCullough joined the Tulane English Staff in June 2022 as the Administrative Secretary after graduating from Loyola University New Orleans in May 2022. A lifelong Louisiana resident, she recently completed a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from the University of Alabama in May 2024 and is currently pursuing further studies in the History department at Tulane.

In her role, Analene supports the Administrative Operations Manager and Chair in managing departmental affairs and serves as a liaison to the Creative Writing director for events, awards, and other aspects of the Creative Writing Program. She does similar work for the First-Year Writing Program, housed within English. She handles special registrations, manages the department's website, phone, and email, and organizes departmental events such as recruitment visits, public lectures, and student-focused gatherings. In 2024, she took on the role of Chair for the English Undergraduate Research Conference (EURC), coordinating its logistics alongside other conference Chairs.
