Biography

Mark W. Shealy is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Writing Program at Tulane University. He teaches first-year writing with an emphasis on rhetoric, digital culture, and artificial intelligence. His research has produced the Entangled Agency Framework (EAF), a formal diagnostic instrument for analyzing whether the conditions for genuine human interpretive judgment are present in AI-mediated writing environments. His book manuscript, Before Judgment: Agency, Formation, and the Conditions of Human Interpretation in AI-Mediated Writing, is under review at the WAC Clearinghouse Perspectives on Writing series. His work appears in Knowledge Commons Works and SSRN.
