Biography
Rob Carter is the Director of Finance & Budgets for the School of Liberal Arts, reporting directly into the Chief Business Officer and working closely with senior leadership to execute the financial aspect of the school’s strategic vision. He also provides financial support and training for staff, and serves as a conduit between the school and other university departments for financial concerns.
Rob holds a Bachelor’s Degree and MBA from Tulane University, as well as a certificate in education finance from Georgetown University. His early career included portfolio monitoring at Capital One, and executive team leadership at Target, where he was recognized as a Top Contributor for leading a Top 10 Nationwide sales team. After completing a fellowship with Education Pioneers, Rob took his experience to two New Orleans area charter schools — as Operations Manager at ARISE Schools, and then Director of Finance and Operations at Élan Academy Charter School, where he helmed the leadership team from 2017-2023.
