Biography

Roxanne Dávila serves as Associate Dean for Curriculum and Pedagogy in the School of Liberal Arts, where she leads efforts to shape and sustain an innovative, student-centered curriculum. She works closely with faculty and program directors to strengthen teaching across departments, support interdisciplinary and language programs, and ensure that academic offerings reflect the highest standards of excellence.

In this role, Roxanne oversees undergraduate curriculum processes, manages instructional planning and teaching budgets, and directs summer programs that expand student opportunities beyond the academic year. She also serves as the Dean’s liaison to Tulane’s institutes and schools, fostering cross-campus collaboration and ensuring that the liberal arts remain at the heart of the university’s mission.

Roxanne did her BA at Harvard in History and Literature and her Ph.D. at Yale in Latin American Literature.
