Biography

As Director of Learning Spaces and Facilities, Sheldon Jones is responsible for oversight and management of all the School of Liberal Arts’ facilities, emergency preparedness, capital planning for facility improvements, space planning, and technology.
 
Sheldon has worked for the university for over 25 years in various roles within Information Technology. His areas of responsibility have included the development of technology-enabled classrooms and public computing lab spaces and the Howard-Tilton Library Learning Commons. He has also managed IT staff on multiple Tulane University campuses, providing technical support to faculty, staff, and students.

He received a BA in Communication from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master’s degree in Management from the University of Phoenix. He is also a graduate of both Educause Leadership and Management Institutes, and certified in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion from E-Cornell.
