Biography
Tara Hamburg is Assistant Dean for Faculty & Administration, primarily assisting with School of Liberal Arts faculty affairs matters. She works closely with the dean, the associate dean for faculty affairs, the Promotion and Tenure Committee, and the Professors of Practice Review Committee to guide academic personnel review processes. She assists with meetings and procedures for Executive, Grievance, and Nominating Committees, with preparations for regular faculty meetings, and with administrative oversight for some faculty policies and procedures.
She earned two Tulane degrees, a B.S. in Psychology from Newcomb College in 1995 and an M.B.A. from the Freeman Business School in 2000. She joined the university as a Tulane College (formerly the College of Arts & Sciences or A&S) staff member in 1996, then moved to the SLA Dean’s Office in 2006.
