Biography

Anna is a PhD student specializing in biological anthropology. She received her B.S. in Anthropology with a concentration in Biological Anthropology from Appalachian State University (2023). She previously participated as a volunteer on the Junaluska Community Archaeology project and the HT-94 Undocumented Migration project. Her research interests include biocultural approaches to skeletal health, inflammaging, and health outcome disparities in the South Eastern US. Her research goals include identifying relationships between osteopathology and domestic work-load stress in multi adult households throughout the South Eastern United States and manifestations of stress in the innominate bones of women and non-binary adults.
