Biography

MinJoo Choi is a PhD student in archaeology with a regional focus in the Andes. Her interests include the regeneration of a complex society after the disintegration of an interdependent ritual-socioeconomic network. Her doctoral research focuses on the development of social identity and regional interaction of the Huarás archaeological culture in the Conchucos region in the highland of Ancash, Peru, during the late Early Horizon or Final Formative period (500/400 BC-100 AD). Previously, she received her BA in International Relations and Archaeology from Johns Hopkins University (2017) and MA in Archaeological Studies from Yale University (2021).
