Biography
Olamide Eniola (Ola) is a PhD student in Linguistic Anthropology. He got his BA and MA in English Linguistics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Ola is interested in language use in the news media, terrorism studies, Muslim youths in Africa, and language pedagogy in Yorùbá, his mother tongue. He was a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University (2019/2020). For his PhD dissertation, he will be researching media reports about terrorists' activities in Nigeria. He is in the 2021-2023 cohort of the Andrew Mellon Graduate Program in Community Engaged Scholarship at Tulane University.
