Biography

Oscar is a graduate student specializing in Archaeology. He received his Bachelor's Degree (2014) and Licenciature in Archaeology (2021) from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Peru. Furthermore, He has a Master's Degree in Assessment and Cultural Heritage (2023) from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain. He specializes in the Archaeological Studies of the Ritual Practices and the Interrelationship in the Andean Formative period, pottery and architectural analysis, and the uses of digital technology in archaeology. Related to Cultural Heritage, he focuses on patrimonial education and human rights in Southern Global countries.

Currently, he is a director and is part of multiple research projects in Peru and Ecuador, as part of the Japanese Archaeological Mission. His research has been shared in a book: “Paisaje y Territorio en los Andes Centrales. Prácticas Sociales y Dinámicas Regionales”, in different journals, conferences, and interviews. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for various archaeological journals in South America, has won different grants and funding,  and is affiliated with research centers and associations in Peru, Japan, the United States, and France.
