Biography

Nathan Halverson is a digital media artist and Professor of Practice in Communication and English at Tulane University. He received his MFA in Kinetic Imaging from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011. His work includes audio-visual installation, experimental music, and multi-media collaborations with filmmakers, musicians, visual artists, and writers. Nathan's work has been shown in exhibitions and festivals in the U.S., Canada, Australia, France, and the U.K. His art and teaching have been supported by awards and fellowships from organizations including, the Digital Humanities Summer Institute at The University of Victoria, Tulane’s New Orleans Center for the Gulf South, eMerge Media, and Antenna Gallery.
