Above the Oaks '21 featuring choreography by Rachel Abrahams & Rachel Slater

The Department of Theatre and Dance is proud to be presenting its mainstage dance concert Above the Oaks. Following a stormy start to the semester, dancers have been able to rally to present a delightfully modern dance show full of new works. The Department is excited to be debuting choreography by its MFA candidates Rachel Abrahams and Rachel Slater Carter in this performance. Both Abrahams and Carter have distinguished careers and the department is thrilled to be working with these talented artists. Undergraduate student works will also be a part of this collection of new dances exploring themes of routine, extraordinary from the mundane, and self-actualization. This production of modern dance works is free and open to the public – suitable for dance aficionados and those new to dance.
