2020-21 Department of Theatre and Dance Season


THURSDAY 8/26, from 4-5:30 in McWilliams room 300

Above The Oaks (ATO) is our Fall Mainstage dance concert dedicated to student choreographic/devised work.
Important dates and information bellow:
Prerequisite to choreograph: Performance I
To choreograph you must have a faculty mentor

Short proposals, for choreographers, will be due Tuesday, 8/24

Auditions Thursday, 8/26 (4-5:30) room 300
Rehearsal schedules due Monday, 8/30
Mentors see a rehearsal the week of 9/13
Full faculty showing Thursday, 9/30 (4-5:30) room 300
Mentors see a rehearsal the week of 10/11
Full faculty showing Thursday 10/21 (4-5:30) room 300

ATO tech starts Monday, October 25th and the show is that weekend

Performances Thursday, October 28, Friday, October 29, and Saturday, October 30.

***You do not need to choreograph to audition to be in someone's work.

Speaking roles for 8 women and 3 additional singers. BIPOC and all female-identifying folx are encouraged to attend.

When? SATURDAY AUGUST 28 from 1-4 pm

Where? The Lupin Theatre in the Dixon Annex (between Dixon and McWilliams Halls)

What? Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute monologue of their choosing. Contemporary or classical material is fine.
Monologues from the play are also great! Please read the script before attending the auditions, if possible.

Additional information on the singing roles will be available at the initial audition. You do not need to prepare anything to sing for Sat, 8/28, and not all roles require singing!
