Tulane Classical Studies Summer Funding

All departmental funding will be subject to current university limitations on travel

The Department of Classical Studies invites undergraduates who are majors in Classical Studies, Latin, and/or Greek and M.A. candidates in Classics at Tulane University to apply for summer funding. The funding can be applied towards summer projects that involve some connection with the ancient Greco-Roman world or towards academic work in Classics during the summer. The amount of the award will usually be between $500 and $1500.

Students who wish to apply should submit a proposal including the following:

  • A project description of 2-3 pages. The proposal should describe the project specifically and discuss how it will contribute to the student's academic goals.
  • A project budget. The budget must detail the costs of the proposed project, including travel, accommodation, tuition, etc.
  • A statement of other sources of funding available for the project. This statement should include other sources for which the student plans to apply.
  • Undergraduates should attach a recent transcript or degree audit (indicating the courses taken and the grades received).

Applications should be sent to the Director of Undergraduate Studies by March 15th.  If you have any questions, please contact the Director of Undergraduate Studies.
