EVA PRIONAS, a native of Athens, Greece, is the Director of both the Modern Greek Studies Program and the Special Language Program at Stanford University. Dr. Prionas holds Ph.D. and Master degrees in Education from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Classics from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She teaches courses in contemporary Greek language, literature, and culture and in Education. She is co-editor of the forthcoming book entitled Web-based Instruction for the Less Commonly Taught Languages (with James Fox, CSLI Publications, Stanford University). She is also the founder and President of both the Modern Greek Language Teachers Association and the Greek-American Professional Women's Society, which promotes professional networking and educational and cultural activities.
