SUSAN LANGDON is Associate Professor of Greek Art and Archaeology in the Department of Art History and Archaeology, University of Missouri. Her areas of specialization are early Greek iconography, pottery, sculpture, and gender issues. Her publication include From Pasture to Polis: Art in the Age of Homer; New Light on a Dark Age; Artifact and Assemblage: Finds from a Regional Survey of the Southern Argolid, Greece; and most recently, Art and Identity in Dark Age Greece, 1100-700 BCE (2008). Her current research projects include the Archaic terracotta figurines from the Sanctuary of Demeter and Kore at Corinth.
