Biography
Emily studies questions about market structure and competition, admissions, tuition, financial aid in the United States higher education market. Her research focuses on the role of the supply-side and equilibrium in analyzing education policy. She uses a variety of empirical research methods but is especially interested in structural methods. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Virginia, and her BA in economics and BM in violin performance from the University of Maryland. When she is not busy estimating economic models, she likes to play the violin and piano and spend time with her son, Miles, and husband, Sam.
