Interns and Volunteers

MARI Interns Installing History Exhibit

The M.A.R.I. Internship and Volunteer program offers students from Tulane University and Loyola University the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a museum setting. We have collaborated with the Center for Public Service and Tulane Anthropology Department since the Spring of 2014 to develop projects and programing eligible for academic credit through the university.

Our multifaceted collections and diverse projects allow interns the flexibility to explore and gain experience in multiple fields, including anthropology, art history, linguistics, Latin American studies, and computer science. The work provided by interns and volunteers has served to increase the organizational capacity of M.A.R.I. Exhibits and educational material created by our interns and volunteers form an important resource for the institute.
