The Institute houses an extensive collection of primary and secondary sources spanning the entirety of the Americas and includes the George Pepper Collection of photographs from the U.S. southwest, journals from early Institute expeditions, and field notes from recent archaeological projects. The archive also houses records concerning the acquisition and documentation of the physical collection. Documents in the M.A.R.I. Archives have been the focus of several archive-based research projects and are available to visiting scholars for study.
The M.A.R.I. Archives are located on the 3rd floor of Dinwiddie Hall.
If you would like to access the archives and/or conduct research please contact mariarchives@tulane.edu.
