- Building #48 on the interactive map. Lake Theater is a new building and may not appear on all GPS systems. The theater is located behind Lake Residence Hall.

If you arrive by taxi or rideshare, instruct the driver to drop you off at McAlister and Willow on Saturday, and at Cowen Circle on St. Charles Ave. on Thursday and Friday.
TRANSPORTATION
Airport
- Shuttle Service: Visit Airport Shuttle New Orleans for schedules and to purchase tickets in advance.
- Taxi and Rideshare Service: $40-50 to the Central Business District and most city areas.
Getting Around New Orleans
Driving Personal Vehicles
- Parking downtown and in the Central Business District can cost up to $40 a day.
- Watch out for potholes!
Public Transportation
NOMA and Tulane are accessible via streetcar and bus. Visit the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority website for schedules, routes, maps, and fares.
Streetcar: The St. Charles Streetcar (green cars) runs directly in front of Tulane's campus. The Canal Streetcar line provides access to NOMA - get off at Lelong Drive.
Bus: RTA bus routes serving the area include:
- Route #27-Louisiana
- Route #60-Hayne
- Route #90 Carrollton
- Route #91 Jackson-Esplanade
Taxis and Rideshare Services
Most hotels can arrange taxi service. Taxis can be difficult to hail outside of popular tourist areas, so we recommend booking in advance. Download a list of New Orleans taxi services or use rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft.

ON-CAMPUS PARKING
Thursday and Friday
If you're attending workshops and/or the forum on Thursday and Friday, you have two parking options:
- Street parking on St. Charles Avenue (free but limited availability)- It is possible to find street parking in the neighborhood surrounding the campus. Be aware that much of the street parking has a two-hour limit.
- Daily permit parking at Diboll Garage (second floor and above) - Purchase permits at parking.tulane.edu for $6/day. Please note: Diboll Garage is a 10-15 minute walk to Dinwiddie Hall and a 5-8 minute walk to Lake Theater.
Tulane Parking Services actively monitors campus parking and will ticket vehicles without proper permits during weekday hours.
Saturday
You may park anywhere on campus without a permit, except in permanently reserved spaces.
Accessible Parking
Visitors requiring accessible parking must display both a state-issued handicap permit or license plate AND a Tulane daily parking permit to park in any handicap space on campus.
