Abdi Farah

Abdi Farah earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and an MFA from Tulane University in 2018. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at institutions including the Baltimore Museum of Art, Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse, the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France, the Brooklyn Museum, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and the Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans, among others. Farah is a 2005 Presidential Scholar in the Arts, a recipient of the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Fellowship through the Yale Norfolk School of Music and Art, a 2017 participant in the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and a 2021 artist-in-residence at Black Rock Senegal and the Joan Mitchell Center.
