Get-To-NOLA Arts Site Visits
The Get-to-NOLA Arts program aims to underscore the incredible diversity of arts-oriented institutions in the greater New Orleans area and to facilitate connections between art history graduate students and these local organizations. These twice-a-semester events take graduate students to locations across the city to learn about various professional roles, to network with future contacts in the arts field, and to gain insights into potential internship or research opportunities funded by the art history department.
In addition to on-campus sessions at the Newcomb Art Museum and the Middle American Research Institute, visits have included sessions at the Historic New Orleans Collection, the Beauregard-Keyes House, the Louisiana State Museums, and M.S. Rau Antiques. Past funded internships resulting from these visits include placements at the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Beauregard-Keyes House.
