The digital arts area of the Newcomb Art Department allows students to explore the expressive and conceptual potential of digital-based projects ranging from print to physical computing. Digital arts students receive a foundation in digital imaging, time-based media (animation and video), along with other classes that examine advanced video, 3-D graphics and interactivity, both virtual and physical. From these classes, students gain an understanding of standard and emerging technologies related to the creation of digital-based projects.
